VEUVE CLICQUOT CELEBRATES INSPIRING BUSINESS WOMEN
Last night (Thursday 7th March), on the eve of International Women’s Day, Veuve Clicquot brought together seventy of Australia’s most successful young business women at Icebergs Dining Room and Bar to celebrate excellence, share inspiration and debate topics of the day.
These women form the Veuve Clicquot Business Women network, an offshoot of the legendary Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award which was established in France in 1972 as a tribute to Madame Clicquot, founder of Champagne house Veuve Clicquot. Maryanne Shearer, CEO of T2, is the Australian winner of the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award 2012. In addition, Ronni Kahn, Founder and CEO of OzHarvest, received the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Tribute Award for Innovation, Entrepreneurial Skill and Contribution to the Community, an award not previously presented in Australia. The Award is held in 16 countries around the world including Australia. Nominations for the Australian 2012 Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award opened on International Women’s Day (8 March) 2011 and closed on 23 September. The winner was announced at the legendary Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award lunch on 8 March 2012.
Maryanne received a silver bottle trophy and a trip to France to join the Veuve Clicquot 2012 International Forum. In addition, a vine will be christened in her honour and each year thereafter she will receive a bottle of Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame to celebrate in style. The nominator of the winner also received a jeroboam of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut.
