INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY EVENT
Leading female business leaders will gather in Sydney on International Women's Day, Thursday March 8, to honour one of their own at the Australian presentation of The Veuve Clicquot Award 2007. The prestigious Award is presented in 16 countries annually to celebrate women who are visionary, innovative, entrepreneurial and ground-breaking in their various fields of business success.
- When: Thursday March 8
- Where: The Wharf, end Pier 4 (Sydney Theatre Company), Hickson Road, Walsh Bay
- What: Announcement of the Australian winner of The Veuve Clicquot Award 2007
- Time: Lunch from 12.30pm, Winner announcement at 1.45pm
Among the 100 women who will be in attendance are:
- Cécile Bonnefond, Global President and CEO of champagne house Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin
- The Honourable Justice Annabelle Bennett AO, Member of Award Judging Panel
- Marilynne Paspaley, Member of Award judging panel and Director, Paspaley Pearls Group
- Wendy Erhart, co-founder of Withcott Seedlings and 2005 Award winner
- Sarina Bratton, founder of Orion Expedition Cruises and 2006 Award winner
- Plus Carla Zampatti, Rowena Danziger, Lucy Turnbull, Robyn Nevin, Ita Buttrose, Louise Olsen, Liz Ann Macgregor, Maggie Tabberer, Rebel Penfold-Russell and Nicole Zimmerman
Also in attendance will be the six finalists for the Australian 2007 Veuve Clicquot Award:
- Shelley Barrett, CEO & Founder, ModelCo
- Natalie Bloom, Founder and Managing Director, Bloom Cosmetics
- Leslie Butterfield, CEO, McLachlan Lister Pty Ltd
- Elizabeth Crundall, Chief Executive, Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation
- Dana Dupere, Director, Benedict Sand & Gravel
- Captain Suzannah Vaughan, Marine Superintendent, Australian FPSO Management, qualified to captain both oil tankers and square rig sailing ships
The winner of Award will receive return business class travel to France to join winners from other countries at the Annual Veuve Clicquot Businesswomen's Meeting. The nominator of the winner will receive 12 magnums of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut.
